Thank you to our special guest and Hester graduate John
Quinn, editor for film and television, who visited with Hester students September 23rd. John took time from his busy
schedule to meet with all of our Hester students and to talk about just what it
takes to be a successful film and television editor. John brought along some samples of his work to
show our students the process from raw film all the way through to the final
product. Our students had great
questions and were excited to meet with someone who is “in the business”.
John lives in southern California and works with various
Hollywood production companies such as the Syfy channel and Sony Pictures. He has worked on projects from small
documentaries to recent large budget TV shows like Chosen, season 3. Thank
